-       Yes, because he is not classroom-oriented teacher. He created the situation where the picture their seniors can speak. Which then making the students feel that the picture really speak to them.

3.    What does fertilizing daffodils’ mean?

-       Fertilizing daffodils’ means dead person.

4.    Why does Mr. Keating ask them to refer to him as “O captain, my captain”??..

-       This is because Mr. Keating think that he is the leader in the class and this work is same with a captain ship.

In this task, i choose video about fight master Silat in National Geografic channel.

In this video also, there are 2 accent,that is Malaysian and American accent. For me, this type of accent is easy to me understand because it have clear pronounciation. 

Beside that, if i talk maybe like more to Kalantaness English. So i must learn harder to improve my pronounciation.

READING TASK (INDISCIPLINE)

KUALA LUMPUR: The Education Ministry wants to put more counsellors in secondary schools to curb discipline problems among students, said its deputy minister Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong.

      He said the ministry hoped to reduce the current student-counsellor ratio of 1:500 to 1:300.

“We need an increase of about 40% counsellors from the current 7,000 counsellors posted at schools,” he said after launching the Mid-Autumn Street Party in front of Sungei Wang Plaza last night.

      Dr Wee, who is also the MCA Youth chief, said it was only a mere 2% of secondary students with disciplinary problems and most were repeat offenders.

      “Education is not only about teaching and knowledge. It is also to mould a student’s well-being. Some first time offenders have benefitted from counselling and no longer play truant or cause problems at school,” he said.

       He added that enforcement such as suspension, warnings and expulsion should only be used as a last resort.

       “We are not a prison, but an institution. We need to educate the students,” he said, adding the ministry was working with Persatuan Kaunseling Malaysia to train more counsellors.

• we need more counselor in secondary school because to curb discipline problems among students mainly in secondary school.

2. What is the meaning of "curb’?

• Curb is means to control or limit something especially something bad.

3. Do you think discipline problem are serious in secondary school? Why?

• yes, because I think the disciplinary problem in school cause by merely 2% of student and most of them were repeat offenders.

4. What is a purpose of education? 

• Education very important to everybody because to educate people to become a useful. And also to distinguish which good and which bad.

5. If you were a caunsellor , what would you do if your pupil were late for school in seven times in two weeks ?

• As a counselor, we must be wise dealing with a problem that is know what cause them to be  late. Then, advise them wisely and suggest them how to come early to school.

Writing Task (Indiscipline)

Upon completion of your course, you are posted to an interior school which poses some challenges to you. Among the problems that you face are:

-low English proficiency among the children

-most of the school children are absent on Mondays

-some parents do not bother about their children's achievements in school

As an English teacher, what would you do to improve the prevailing situation? Your write-up should not be less than 300 words. Give a suitable title to your post.

essay:

      As a teacher, we should implement job with the best, because that all is the trust responsibility on our-self.  Work as a teacher also, will not be easy and we had to go through any challenge and obstacles especially when posted to an interior school. Beside that, as a teacher also, we must patient with hassles of pupils and also when aim a front problem among pupils.

           Among problem is low English proficiency among the children. Why happen this problem? Firstly, maybe they are not be exposed to English language widespread. So, as a English teacher at the school we must do something to improve achievement English profiency among pupils. We must do extra class specifically to english only. Then, teacher must be using English language while teaching as exposed to suitable to themself. Moreover, teacher should giving homework as a review what they have learn and asking them to read materials in English.

          On the other hand, next problem is of the school children are absent on Mondays. Problem children are absent to school must taken seriously. If they are absent to school because many subject who missed even one day they didn’t come to school. So, will cause of that they are left behind in lesson. This case can not be left alone, the school must take disciplinary action on each student who is absent to school even one day. If the school firm such as cane or a fine to pick up the garbage aimed at aducating to become good pupil and comply discipline at the school.

        Furthermore, if we can see thing that cause the problems that occured among student is parents do not bother about their children's especially in achievements their children in the school. Parent are the one that cause your child to feel left out and do no get enough love from their parent. So, in this case, the school must do something to improve to awareness of parent to their children by calling parent to school in a special programe with their children such as excellence in children’s programs. Then, this programme to aim the awareness of parents that the importance of children in their lives. Parent who care for chidren cause burning spirit of  the children to study hard.

       As a conclusion, a teacher is very important in every student because teacher are the second parent in our student. All the problems is the responsibility of student to teacher.

1. What scene from the video did you find interesting? why?


The most scene i inspired most was when some men admitted that they were the victims of sex harassment in the past. I like when they bravely admit that they were the victim. As we know if we had become victim of some sex harassment, we would not admit because it was a shame. But they did not. from the past, they learn to be stronger in their daily life. They still manage to be success in their life. Compare with us, if we fall once, sometimes we will never want to stand up again.


2. Find one quote that you find very interesting. Why?


The quote i like the most is "be responsible from what you have done". From the quotes i know that everything that we do we must responsible in everything we done. As we know people nowadays enjoy doing something but never responsible from they had done. As example we can related with baby dumping. They know do only, enjoy do it, but when a girl had pregnant, man did not want to responsible. So this is why i like this quotes
